"Hello all! My name is Jessica. I am a mom of two boys (3 and 14), a wife and have seven dogs. All of which are rescues (most foster fails). I am a vet assistant here at a local vet and i love helping my patients and educating clients. Husband is a retired marine.
My passion is to help save the unloved and unwated. I decided I wanted to fulfill a lifelong dream and open my own rescue. I was finally able to do that! I am the founder and president of No Collar Queens Animal Rescue. I've been saving animals since I can remember. Saving dogs is a passion of mine. Be the voice for the voiceless.
I started fostering in 2018 around Onslow county. I have fostered over 200 dogs/puppies since 2018. Now that I have been able to fulfill my dream of opening my own nonprofit rescue, I want to save as many as I can. I have Big Dreams for this rescue over the next 5 years and I want to continue to make those dreams come true and build more dreams."
"My name is Kim and I am the VP and Foster Coordinator of No Collar Queens animal rescue. My husband, Rick, and I started fostering back in November 2021. We started our rescue journey because I wanted a new puppy in the house. After searching shelters and rescues, we saw that there were too many dogs needing a home. So, we became fosters.
To date, we have fostered 146 puppies/dogs, with 3 litters being born in our home. We of course foster failed on our very foster. We now have 7 dogs and 1 cat, of which 3 dogs came from an animal rescue. Once we got into the foster groove, I decided I could do something more with my time while on disability. I started doing “Freedom Rides” and Fix a Friend transports for spay/neuter days. I also stepped up to become the Foster Coordinator and Programs Manager.
With everything I’ve learned from previous rescue work, I’m excited and ready to help build this brand-new rescue from the ground up. We are excited to help continue giving the neglected and abandoned animals a safe temporary home until their furever family finds them!"
"Hi, I’m Kallie the treasurer at No Collar Queens. I started my fostering journey in January of 2023 after a neighbor convinced me to bring 2 puppies in. It all went off from there, I am over 75 lives saved. I always remind myself with fostering I am saving a life.
I am currently the only person at No Collar Queens who has not experienced a foster failure, and I aim to maintain that record in order to continue saving more animals. While saying goodbye can be difficult, especially to long-term fosters, I understand that letting them go to their forever homes allows us to help other dogs in need.
The biggest reward to fostering is when you get a dog who is so shy and timid and you are able to bring them out of that shell to show their true personalities.
Outside of rescue life I work a full time job, love to travel, hit up antique stores to treasure hunt, cuddle up on the couch with my dog and cheer on the Indianapolis Colts!"
"My name is Alyssa and I am the social media director for No Collar Queens! I am a working mom of two kids and 7 dogs (yes, I’m tired and yes, I drink coffee like it’s going out of style ). My rescue/foster journey started two years ago with a litter of pittie puppies. Since then, I have fostered a total of 72 furry friends, puppies being my specialty!
My absolute favorite part of fostering is seeing the dogs that were on euthanasia’s row getting the second chance they so desperately deserve (and documenting their journey along the way)! There’s no greater reward than seeing these pups absolutely thriving in their new homes; even if it is a little heart breaking to let them go.
All in all, I’m bubbly and fun to be around! If you love saving furry lives (and if you let me see pictures of your dog), we’ll get along just fine!"
