When Nirvana came to us just a month ago, he was a completely shut down puppy. At only around 6 months old, he was terrified of everything around him. New people, new sounds, and new experiences were overwhelming, and he spent most of his time trying to make himself as small and unnoticed as possible.

With patience, love, and a safe environment, this sweet boy is slowly learning that the world isn't such a scary place. His personality is beginning to shine through as he grows more confident each day. We're seeing more curiosity, more trust, and even moments of playfulness that remind us he's still just a puppy.

Nirvana is looking for a patient and understanding family who will continue helping him build confidence at his own pace. Because of this, we recommend a family with older/calmer kids. My foster parents say I’m the bravest little boy they’ve ever met! I absolutely LOVE cuddles, playing and chasing my foster siblings, and zooming after my favorite toys to show you just how fast I can be!

I’ve recently discovered my hound side, too, and I have the sweetest little howl that comes out whenever I’m feeling a bit unsure. But once I know I’m safe, I’m right back to being my happy, playful self!
